Description:
1975 Ali vs. Frazier "Thrilla in Manila" On-Site Program. The thirty-four years and seven thousand miles that separate the historic "Thrilla in Manila" from modern day America have conspired to make the presented on-site program a tremendously rare find for collectors. Here we present one of the finest of the few remaining examples that was on hand to witness this brutal, grueling battle between two of the greatest Heavyweights of the post-war era. "It was like death," the victorious Ali told reporters after Frazier's trainer Eddie Futch threw in the towel to protect his fighter, almost completely blinded by the swelling around his eyes. "Closest thing to dyin' that I know of."

The program exhibits only the slightest edge wear and a tiny corner bend at the lower right cover to suggest its age, surviving the contest in far superior condition than that of the boxers that led ESPN's SportsCentury to rank the fight as the fifth greatest sporting event of all time. No creasing or staining is present, and the binding is perfect. The standard by which all Thrilla programs should be judged.
