Description:
1960's Harlem Stars Game Worn Shooting Jacket and Shorts. Reece "Goose" Tatum helped make the Harlem Globetrotters into the success they were. Following his successful run with the Globetrotters, he formed his own traveling roadshow of roundball talent. One of the teams was known as Goose Tatum's Harlem Stars. They took to the hardwood and entertained crowds on a nightly basis and gave the Globetrotters a run for the public's entertaining dollars.

Presented for bidder consideration is this ensemble of two Harlem Stars shooting jackets and single pair of shorts. Red, white and blue colors are incorporated in each article of clothing. The knit blue jacket, sporting an open collar, has a "Tiernan" manufacturer's tag and [size] "XL" label in the cowl. "Harlem Stars" is spaced across the reverse in two-color tackle twill. The matching shorts are included as well. A "Tiernan" tag is applied in the waistline. Single-color white stars decorate the sides. The final piece of this listing is a white Stars shooting jacket. Secured in the collar is a "Spanjian Pasadena" manufacturer's tag. "Harlem" is vertically spaced on front in single-color blue. "Harlem" is applied to a buttoned on 14.5x10" polyester attachment.
