1969 Tony Conigliaro Game Worn Jersey. A cult hero for Red Sox fans since his 1964 rookie season, Conigliaro suffered one of the most gruesome beanings in baseball history, a pitch that shattered his left cheekbone, dislocated his jaw and caused severe damage to his left retina. After missing the remainder of the 1967, and all of 1968, the gritty outfielder returned to Fenway for the 1969 season, hitting twenty homers with eighty-two runs batted in to earn Comeback Player of the Year honors, an award which has since been named for him personally. Presented is an important jersey from that inspiring reemergence, worn on the road during that famous Summer of Love. The navy and red felt "Boston" remains in place in a shallow arc on the chest, with number "25" applied to verso. Likewise unmoved from its position on the left sleeve is the important MLB centennial patch. Local Brockton, Massachusetts "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." tagging appears in the tail, with "69" and "44" labels just below indicating year and size respectively. Consistent wear is evident throughout. A minor rust stain at lower left causes no real concern. Practically a holy relic for the true Red Sox fan. LOA from Lou Lampson.

HA is a traditional auction house, they set up their auctions slightly different from typical domain auctions. This works well, it seems to be a good mix of old age (live bidding in a prestigious hotel) and new age (online bidding).
