The heavy road grey pinstriped flannel retains the gorgeous black and red felt "Reds" logo over the heart and a blank back as this style predates the advent of jersey numbers. All six original buttons remain on chest. Manufacturer's labeling in the collar has been lost to the ages, but the thread outline remains. A few minor stains do little to distract the eye, and the absence of moth damage or any other such damage to the fabric is a welcome surprise for such an ancient garment. A small amount of dye transfer from the team logo likewise is a minor concern which must be dismissed in light of the tremendous rarity and desirability of this important early fashion. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
