Stan Musial's Wallet with Contents Including Driver's Licenses,
Social Security Cards, More.
There are few things more personal
than a man's wallet, and Musial's provides no shortage of insight
into the great slugger's life. Great value and intrigue in this
lot, beginning with the earliest Musial autograph we've
encountered, a "Stanley F. Musial"
model applied to his worn
but still solid and complete Social Security card issued to The Man
as a sixteen-year old boy. Also here is a 1985 signed Social
Security card, autographed the same way. We also have four signed
Missouri driver's licenses, expiring in 1988, 1997, 2003 and 2006
respectively. Also a Visa (signed), American Express (unsigned) and
Neiman Marcus (signed) credit card. There are nine various health
care cards, one with the details of Musial's pacemaker. Perhaps
most interesting are photos of Musial's family, his wife and Pope
John Paul II, and a hidden $100 bill that Stan kept stashed away
for emergencies. Also here are two nice cigarette lighters, a
couple name badges, a leather box (7x3x2") with Musial's name
embossed in gold on lid and a bronze medallion of unknown origin.
