Description

1916 BF2 Ferguson Bakery Felt Pennants Joe Jackson! This series of almost 100 subjects were circulated by Ferguson Bakeries on a very limited basis. Each six inch pennant shaped piece of felt features a small black & white photo of the designated player glued down surrounded by the players name and team. One of the key names of the series is this man, Shoeless Joe Jackson. His name brings an immediate reaction of awe and wonder. In 1916, his first year with the White Sox, he was still at the top of his game and this BF2 pennant is one of his more scarce collectibles. What is even more amazing is the condition in which this item has survived. It is the highest grade example this writer has ever seen and possibly the finest ever offered at auction. The photo has four sharp corners and one minor horizontal wrinkle. The graphics which easily flake off are 100% intact and the deep gray colored felt shows barely a sign of age or handling. Even the delicate bottom tip comes to a sharp point. Easily Near-Mint condition.

If my clients were to auction something of significance, having Mike as the auctioneer would be a deal maker as far as I am concerned.
