Description

1909-11 E90-1 American Caramel E90-1 Ty Cobb SGC 60 EX 5. From a collection being made available at public auction for the first time. Issued with sticks of caramel candy, the E90-1 set was produced by the American Caramel Co. from 1909 though 1911, with the bulk of the set being released in the first year. Ty Cobb captured the AL Triple Crown in 1909 and was a unanimous choice for MVP of the American League in 1911 after posting a .420 batting average. Graded SGC 60 EX 5, this example has light corner wear at tips and centering to the right and a little high of precise. This is one of eleven at the EX level with only one grading higher.
