Description:
1951 Bowman Gil Hodges #7 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher! Graded Mint by PSA, this plus seven other counterparts rank at this tier with none graded higher. The great Brooklyn Dodgers first baseman, Gil Hodges, is featured on this near-pristine specimen of card number 7 from Bowman's 1951 issue. The offered item's vibrant colors compliment the finely detailed portrait of the revered Brooklyn first baseman. Every detail of Hodges' portrait glows thanks to a fine layer of perfect gloss resulting in a pack-fresh quality. Surprisingly white borders surround his well-centered image and corner tips with razor sharp accuracy complete this immaculate card's presentation. The reverse is of no less quality than the front. Boldly printed copy is free of the wax staining that tends to haunt cards from this issue. Also, there are no unsightly fibrous stock additives (also common to this issue). The only way to detract from the visual enjoyment of this key addition to your '51 Bowman assembly is to make something up. Currently, 344 examples have been submitted to PSA placing this beauty within the top 2% of that population.
