Description

1934 Johnny Evers Handwritten Signed Letter Mentioning Tinker & Chance. The perfect companion piece to a very similar letter from Joe Tinker that is likewise presented within The Seth Swirsky Collection is this one from the Hall of Fame second baseman for that most famous of double play trios. He writes, in part, "Chance is dead ten years this coming month, Tinker lives in Orlando Florida." The single page of letterhead from a Columbus, Ohio hotel holds Evers' 9/10 black fountain pen ink inclusive of the "John Evers" signature at the close. Original mailing folds but no other issues of note. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
