Astonishingly comprehensive roster of 54 signers includes Steinbrenner, coaches, scouts, trainers.
1977 New York Yankees Team Signed Bat, PSA Mint 9. Reggie Jackson's three home runs in the sixth and final game of the World Series remains the most remarkable feat authored at Yankee Stadium during the 1977 Major League season. The creation of this eye-popping relic is number two. Never before, for any team, from any sport, have we encountered such a compulsively complete assemblage of autographs from a single team on a single item. While any lumber blessed with the signatures of the first Yankees World Championship team since the departure of Mickey Mantle would be cause for celebration, this one is like the love child of Grace Kelly and the Energizer Bunny. It's unbelievably beautiful, and it just keeps going and going and going...

An accounting of names seems almost silly, since if he was there, he's here. Present is every man who entered the Fall Classic: Blair, Chambliss, Clay, Dent, Guidry, Gullett, Hunter, Jackson, Johnson, Lyle, Munson, Nettles, Piniella, Randolph, Rivers, Stanley, Tidrow, Torrez, White and Zeber. Owner George Steinbrenner and manager Billy Martin somehow manage to share the same two square inches of space without bloodshed. Coach and Yankee immortal Yogi Berra is just below, joined by fellow coach and successor at catcher Elston Howard. Even famed clubhouse man Pete Sheehy, who got his Bronx start exactly half a century earlier as a teenaged assistant to the fabled '27 Yankees, makes an appearance.

Every black marker signature is as bold as the date of application on the unused and thoroughly pristine Chris Chambliss signature model Louisville Slugger that serves as their home. No superlative is sufficient here--seeing is the only sure path to believing. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9 (autograph). Full LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
