Description:
1949 New York Yankees Single Signed Baseballs Lot of 27. Remarkably comprehensive gathering of single signed spheres represents the World Series roster that would mark the beginning of five consecutive seasons of World Championship domination. All autographs rate 8/10 or better on Official baseballs. Some scattered toning/staining apparent on several of the balls, but all present quite nicely. Signature removals, when present, are noted below. Bauer, Berra, Brown, Buxton (removals), Byrne, Coleman, Crosetti, Dickey, Henrich, Johnson, Keller, Lindell, Lopat, Mapes, Marshall, Mize, Niarhos, Page, Pillette, Raschi, Reynolds, Rizzuto, Sanford, Silvera, Stirnweiss (removals), Turner, Woodling. A thirtieth unsigned ball featuring Yankees logos and the text "1949 New York Yankees World Champions" is included for display purposes. Note that Joe Page and Ralph Buxton are particularly scarce, with the former believed to be among the only legitimate singles on earth. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
