Results of Heritage's Amazing Sports Auction Internet #45011

Dallas, Texas: Heritage's Amazing Sports Auctions (ASA) #45011 ended Sunday, January 30, 2005. With 143 bidders competing, 52 were successful. Total sell-through was $40,438.76 for 409 lots sold (99.51% of the total).

A few highlights from the January 30 ASA sale are:

1956 Topps Mickey Mantle #135 PSA NM 7. A big Midwestern smile from the Triple Crown-winning season. Excellent gloss and strong centering, with a perfectly clean verso. A very strong Mantle. REALIZED: $1,135.25.

1960 Topps Mickey Mantle #350 PSA NM-MT 8. Superb centering, edges, corners. Ultra-clean! REALIZED: $956.

1961 Topps Mickey Mantle #300 PSA NM-MT 8. Sharp corners, perfect gloss and registration. An important card from one of the most memorable seasons in New York Yankees history. REALIZED: $776.75.

1961 Topps Roger Maris #2 PSA NM-MT 8. Only thirteen unqualified cards have ever graded higher than this tough Maris card from his historic season. REALIZED: $537.75.

1961 Topps Mickey Mantle All-Star #578 PSA NM-MT 8. Sharp corners, fantastic centering, perfect gloss and registration. REALIZED: $507.88.

1950 Boston Red Sox Team Signed Baseball. Fellow Hall of Famers Joe McCarthy and Ted Williams (stamped) share space on the sweet spot of this OAL (Harridge) ball sporting twenty-two NRMT signatures from the boys at Fenway. Also present are Dom DiMaggio, Tebbetts, Dropo, Pesky, Doerr and more. All-Star third baseman Ken Keltner's appearance on the ball marks it definitively to 1950. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. REALIZED: $450.52.

Muhammad Ali Signed Photograph. A perfect blue sharpie signature on an 8x10" color photo. REALIZED: $358.50.

1944 Chicago Bears Team Signed Yearbooks Lot of 2. Pair of "Twin Towers" yearbooks derive from Collegeville, Indiana's St. Joseph's Academy, where the Bears had their training grounds. Each is signed on the opening page by thirty members of the World Championship squad, with the notable highlights of Bulldog Turner and Paddy Driscoll. Signatures average a strong 9/10. Books themselves show some outer wear, with loose covers, but the team signed pages themselves remain in fantastic condition. REALIZED: $358.50.
