Heritage Sportscards Offers "The Tiger Woods Collection" in Upcoming Auction!Dallas, Texas: Heritage Sportscards announced today that from August 8th through August 18th they will be offering "The Tiger Woods Collection" on eBay (Item # 1176544959), This collection, which is estimated to bring over $250,000, will consist of the four following professionally graded Tiger Woods sportscards:
"I'm very excited that Heritage was able to assemble this collection for public offering considering how rare these items are." Says Chris Ivy, Director of Heritage Sportscards. "Each of these cards is the highest graded example known, graded by two of the top grading services. The 1996 SIFK Woods is one of only three in existence, while the 1998 GSV "Gold Foil" Woods is one of two with none graded higher. The two BGS 10 Pristines are the most interesting part of the collection because both are one of a kind and have never had a market price established. Of the hundreds of thousands of cards that BGS has graded since its inception, only 0.04% have ever achieved the grade of BGS 10 Pristine. To have two of them offered in the same auction and both to be a one of a kind is an unbelievable opportunity for some lucky collector."
"This is a great chance for a collector to own some of the rarest collectibles of a modern sports phenomenon." Says Mike Souza of American Pastime Investments. Souza is a California based dealer that sold the first 1996 SIFK Tiger Woods PSA 10 for $125,000 to a private collector this past February. Souza went on to say "When the Michael Jordan Collection was sold on eBay last year I was amazed when the auction closed out at over $400,000. But I wouldn't be surprised if this sale surpassed that number considering the popularity of Tiger Woods collectibles, the rarity of these items, and the potential for Tiger Woods to become the greatest athlete of the 21st century.
