Heritage is Named as the Official Auctioneer of the NFL Hall of Fame Players Association
Dallas, Texas: Heritage Sports Collectibles (HSC) is proud to announce its partnership with the NFL Hall of Fame Player's Association (HOFPA) in a move that has been heralded by both collectors and football greats alike. The agreement, inked by HSC Director Chris Ivy and HOFPA President Ron Mix, further establishes Heritage as the premier source for high-end sports collectibles.
"We couldn't be more pleased about the opportunity to represent such an important and distinguished organization as the HOFPA," stated Ivy. "We are always searching for new and better ways to bring the most exciting sports artifacts available to our collecting clientele, and this is certainly going to have that effect." But Ivy explained that this new endeavor has perhaps even greater importance on the other side of the equation. "Many, if not most, of the Hall of Famers alive today retired well before salaries grew to a point that could provide them with life-long financial security. So the opportunity to improve the financial circumstances of a football legend just through doing our jobs is a big plus for Heritage."
Mix has a similar opinion on this topic. "A major function of the HOFPA is to provide charitable support for our older members. Quite a few are now facing considerable medical bills, and if the sale of collectibles can serve to raise funds to help our members that are in need, we'll be very happy to do whatever we can." Mix also explained how he came to the decision to join forces with Heritage. "We wanted to be certain that we could provide our membership with the services of a well-established, reputable organization with the expertise to place our members in a position to obtain the highest return for their collectibles. Our research made us conclude that Heritage is the company for us."
Collectors can expect to see the first offerings resulting from this historic partnership in Heritage's Spring Signature Sports Sale, scheduled for Spring of 2005.
