Mid-1950's Detroit Red Wings Red Cardigan Sweater.
Offered is a charming circa 1950's red cardigan sweater that former Red Wings coach, Jim Skinner purchased for his daughter, Karen, during his tenure as head man in the Motor City. One of two Wings cardigan's Heritage obtain from Skinner, this piece is in exceptional condition and measures at 15" from shoulder to shoulder, and 23" from top to bottom, a suitable size for a middle-school-aged child. This piece still exhibits all six original buttons, Red Wings patch on the left, with the "Olympic Detroit" tag in the collar. A gorgeous American and Canadian Flag patch is also applied the left shoulder of the cardigan. Spectacular sweater that is sure to provide visions of the days Detroit greats Gordie Howe and Terry Sawchuk. LOA from Jim Skinner Jr.
