Description:

1924-25 Holland Creameries SGC-Graded Collection (32) - Including a Near Set (8/10). Every card has been graded by SGC. I would imagine vintage hockey specialists had to read the title a few times before the reality of being able to acquire such an amazing quantity of these very rare collectibles sunk in. Tradition says this immeasurably rare series was circulated during the 1924-25 season but may be from the 1920-21 season. Research done for Heritage by noted Hockey collector Bill Campbell and Ed Swecney, Curator of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame have found the 10 subject line up were all part of the 1920 Olympic Gold Medal winning Winnipeg Falcons or the 1921 Junior Winnipeg Falcons. Also, Frank Fredrickson had left Winnipeg after 1921 and was playing for the Victoria Cougars in 1924-25. Four of the cards have anywhere from one to five punch holes of consistent characteristics and size. We have been informed that these are company cancellations. Canceled cards from this series are unheard of and we are unable to say with 100% certainty these are legitimate cancellation marks. We will let you, our bidders decide. Includes: Graded - SGC 30 GD 2: 1 card, #6 Benson; SGC 20 FR 1.5: 3 cards w/#'s 3 Somers, 4 Woodall and 7 Neil; SGC 10 PR 1: 23 cards w/#'s 1 Fridfinnson (6), 2 McNunn (4), 3 Somers (3), 5 Fredrickson (5), 6 Benson (2), 7 Neil (2) and 10 Austman; SGC Authentic: 5 cards w/#'s 2 McNunn, 3 Somers, 5 Fredrickson, 6 Benson and 7 Neil.
