Description:

1936 American Football League Broadside. Don't let the name fool you--this is not the same AFL that merged with the NFL in 1970. The League from which this amazing artifact was spawned disbanded almost seven decades ago after just two seasons of activity, with only the Cleveland Rams living on to eventually find its way into the modern NFL with a home in St. Louis. The rest of the teams, including the Rams' opponents that day, the Syracuse Braves, quickly disappeared into obscurity. The same can surely be said of almost all artifacts related to this blip on the radar screen of football history, making this large (21x27") and colorful cardboard broadside tremendously scarce and desirable. Surface and edge wear is minimal considering the circumstances, and the bold visual effect is not diminished in any regard by these factors. The display value is augmented with a simple frame that expands the final dimensions to 26.5x33".
