Description

Early 1930's Lou Gehrig Handwritten Signed Letter. Brief note likely written as the Yankees traveled to our nation's capital to meet the Washington Senators illustrates the class and generosity for which the Iron Horse was famous. He writes, "Dear Mr. Leslie, I shall be only too glad to autograph your baseballs if you will forward them to Yankee Stadium at once. Thank you for your kind letter, Cordially, Lou Gehrig." All ink rates 9/10 or better. The single page on hotel letterhead is somewhat rumpled but the writing is none the worse for this wear. A very rare and desirable ALS from one of the greatest Yankees of them all. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
