Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove And Others Signed Baseball. Offered is a rare early 30's Philadelphia Athletics team signed baseball. The A's won back to back World Series in 1929 and 1930 defeating the Cubs 4 games to 1, and the Cardinals 4 games to 2. Highlights on this red and blue stitched Official League ball include Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove, Max Bishop, Ed Rommel, Jimmy Dykes, etc. Hall of Fame slugger Foxx hit 534 career home runs, many of them for spectacular distance. The 1930's saw a number of high-profile sluggers rise to fill the void left by Ruth, but none of those "heirs apparent" were more imposing at the plate than "The Beast." During that entire decade Foxx would never fail to hit less than 30 home runs, drive in less than 105 runs, or hit lower than .285. "Double X" would top the 140 RBI mark four times in his career plateauing at 175. Lefty Grove's accomplishments on the mound are best characterized as simply astonishing. Grove topped the American League in victories four times, led the League in strikeouts in seven consecutive campaigns and posted nine ERA titles, finishing his career with an even 300 wins. A wonderful ball with the rare combination of a 300 game winner and 500 home run hitter. JSA Auction LOA.

Circa 1955 Roy Campanella Signed Baseball. Not one, but two autographs from the beloved Hall of Fame catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers. We can spot Ted Lyons, Johnny Podres and Clem Labine among them. The non-official ball is toned but presents nicely. Auction LOA from JSA.

1942 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Another American League Championship for the mighty Bronx Bombers, whose ranks would be decimated the following season by the military draft. Manager McCarthy appears in clubhouse format. Signature quality averages 6/10 to 7/10, though occasionally dips as low as a legible 2/10. DiMaggio is the lightest Hall of Famer at 4/10. 1940's Babe Ruth Signed Portrait Photograph. From the famous "Herby & Gertie" collection of Babe Ruth signed photographs comes this all but unimprovable inscription from baseball's top star. The vast expanse of white background allows stunning contrast, with "To my Little girl friend Joan, From Babe Ruth" presenting at a legitimate 10/10. A small degree of chipping to the emulsion barely touches the first letter of the inscription, but leaves the rest unhampered. Some toning and bending at the edges could easily be disguised with a simple matting job. Photo measures 8x10" in size. JSA Auction LOA.
