Description:
1962 New York Yankees Championship Rolex Presented to Tony Kubek for His Wife. This dainty little Rolex was meant to commemorate one of Kubek's three World Championships in pinstripes, though the text does not state it explicitly. Kubek confirmed with us he was given this treasure after the 1962 championship. The Yankees defeated San Francisco in seven hard fought games. In the decisive game seven, Kubek drove in the game's lone run. What we do find is a tiny "hat and bat" logo on the dial of this elegant lady's watch, and engraving on the back that states, "Presented to Anthony C. Kubek by the Baseball Commissioner." Clasp of the watch is stamped "14K" and small diamonds affixed to top and bottom of watch case test as genuine. Fine condition. Letter of provenance from Tony Kubek.
