Description:
1941 Nile Kinnick Handwritten Signed Letter. Scan up to the top of just about any football autograph collector's wish list--and the very top of every Heisman Trophy wish list--and you'll find Nile Kinnick, whose death in a military aviation accident in 1943 has made his one of the toughest signatures in twentieth century sports. The 1939 Heisman winner provides the finest autographed item we've ever encountered from the microscopic surviving supply, penned in 10/10 blue fountain pen ink with an equally strong closing signature on a 5.5x6" page:

"Dear Bill, The best advice I can give you in your effort to become a good passer is to practice & then practice some more--and above all, always practice with an expectancy that you will improve. Never become a slave to just routine repetition. Yours, Nile Kinnick."

The note is dated at upper right in an unknown hand. Original mailing folds are apparent, but the page is otherwise free of any flaws, ready to serve as the crown jewel in the finest of private football autograph collections. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
