Matthew Rubinger joined Heritage as Consignment Director for its Luxury Accessories category, formed in the summer of 2010, encompassing high-end handbags, luggage, wallets, belts and all associated accompaniments. He is one of the foremost specialists in antique, vintage, rare and exotic handbags, accessories, and luggage – from high-end designers including Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, Goyard, Bottega Veneta, Judith Leiber and others. He has been featured in the Washington Post and on CNN for his authentication and valuation skills of designer goods, and is a frequent source for journalists across many different forms of media for his expertise in the luxury accessory category. In 2007 he launched the Accessories Category at Portero.com, a high-end Website for buyers of quality luxury items. The category was a hit and Rubinger’s course was set.
